SuVlta startup based in Silicon Valley said the new technology is licensed to Fujitsu Semiconductor. This allows companies to produce more energy-efficient microchips for use of tablets and smartphones.

Backed by venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, SuVolta says the technology could break the two volumes of the resources used by the chip without sacrificing performance of the chip itself.

According to Fujitsu Semiconductor, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Ltd. of Japan, the existence of the technology, no major changes in production facilities. Therefore, the chip will be produced next year. This is indeed a big change in the industry, given the other players compete to produce more chips.

Intel, Texas Instruments, Samsung and Qualcomm are racing to design a processor with higher performance for smartphones and tablets. This is how they compete with Apple’s iPhone, a flaw in the performance of the battery.
